The Northern Ontario Francophone Immigration Support Network presents the 3 selected Northern Ontario communities interested in developing their immigration capacity.
The selected communities are:
- The Corporation of the Township of Dubreuilville with the communities of Dubreuilville, Wawa and White River
- The City of Temiskaming Shores with the francophone organization, “Association canadienne-française de l’Ontario – région Temiskaming” (ACFO)
- The City of Kenora with the Francophone organization, “Association des francophones du nord-ouest de l’Ontario (AFNOO)”
From the lack of human resources to the decrease in the number of Francophones in the North, the challenges are numerous and must be met through the union of Francophone actors.
Thus, these three communities will have access to a $20,000 budget that will allow them to operate more easily in their region. At the same time, they will also be responsible for certain tasks such as the creation of community activities or the realization of local context analyzes with the support of the Réseau du Nord.
